Dr. Kelly Romo received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University and then went on to receive her PharmD from the University of Michigan. Dr. Romo began her career as an Infusion Pharmacist at the Michigan Medicine Rogel Cancer Center. During her years at Michigan Medicine, she served and led in a variety of areas, including the Anemia Management Program, Oral Oncolytics Program, Cancer Center Orders team and finally as the Lead Infusion Pharmacist within the health system’s cancer center, overseeing operations. Following, she worked at a Specialty Pharmacy overseeing oncology clinical programs and operations, consulted at Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University Siteman Cancer Center, assisting in the preparation and roll-out of a new electronic medical record system. She was a part of Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium (MOQC), focusing on quality of care for oncology patients. Her current role is at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, bringing together oncology drug management and customer initiatives.
